BAMS – Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery
The BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) Course is an integrated course in the medical science that combines the traditional medical practice of Ayurveda with modern medical treatment, which includes surgery. The course is recognized under the Indian Parliamentary Act “The Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970” and is equivalent to other medical degrees in India.
Eligibility
BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) is a recognized professional bachelor’s degree program in India. The students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Biology as a subject (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) from recognized board can pursue this course.
Besides the basic eligibility criteria, the student needs to take up Pre-Medical Entrance Examination that is conducted at the state level and all India level to join the BAMS course in reputed college.
Selection Criteria
The selection of BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) degree course is based on the marks secured in the merit, i.e. total marks aggregated in the 10+2 exam and the entrance exam.
